MACARTHUR district farmers will be able to learn new skills for predicting the weather during a special workshop discussion tonight at the local hotel.

Department of Primary Industries climate specialist Graeme Anderson will discuss short-term weather forecasting, climate drivers, forecasts and seasonal variation and risk.

“It helps farmers to know more about what drivers are behind our wet and dry conditions,” Mr Anderson said.

The event is free of charge and includes a two-course meal at the Macarthur Hotel from 7.30pm. People interested in attending should contact WestVic Dairy on 5592 2477.
