Senior Sergeant Shane Keogh, of Warrnambool police, said the rider was struck at the Koroit and Fairy streets round-about at 8am.

“The 67-year-old bloke was clipped while riding his bike through the Koroit and Fairy streets round-about at about 8am,” he said.

“The driver blamed sun glare for not seeing the man. We just want to remind drivers that the sun is now rising later and to just take every precaution while driving at that time of the morning.

“The rider was taken to the Warrnambool Base Hospital with minor injuries. His bike was also damaged,” he said.
