Warrnambool police Inspector Kevin Archer said the message was that when the sun went down there would be no free entertainment in town.

He said Victoria Police, the organisers of this year’s Port Fairy Folk Festival and Moyne Shire Council were working together to ensure the popular seaside event was safe and enjoyable for everybody.

More than 15,000 people are expected to converge on the town for the popular event.
