Health Minister David Davis said via a statement that the Victorian branch of Australian Nursing Federation (ANF) has agreed to end all industrial activity immediately.

“This has paved the way for both parties to resume conciliation starting with a commitment to reach an agreement by March 16,” he said.

The agreement means the ANF and the Victorian Hospitals Industrial Association would resume conciliation with assistance from Fair Work Australia.

To allow that to happen, the federation had ensured that all industrial action would stop, and both parties would halt any legal action.

The two parties have committed to have all outstanding issues resolved by March 16.

Nurses at South West Healthcare had planned to strike this morning for three hours after 75 walked off the job yesterday.
