The incident occurred on Majestic Road just after 5.30pm.

Emergency crews raced to the scene after learning the bus was capable of carrying 22 passengers. It is not known how many were on board at the time.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said a doctor, who was among the passengers, helped treat those who were injured before paramedics arrived.

She said a 55-year-old female was experiencing lower back pain, a 60-year-old male was possibly suffering from concussion and a 28-year-old male suffered a blood nose.

“They are all tourists and they don’t speak English,” she said.

The route is a popular link between the Great Ocean Road and the Princes Highway and tourist buses travel the road on a daily basis, particularly in the evenings as they head back to Melbourne via Colac.

Meanwhile, a truck carrying road tar overturned along the Great Ocean Road at Allansford late yesterday.

The truck was travelling from the Cobden-Warrnambool Road into the Great Ocean Road when it overturned after 6pm, causing traffic delays. The driver sustained only minor injuries.
